Our hens have started laying. We are getting up to two dozen a day now. These are classified as "Pet Quality" They are not graded or inspected.
The Red Star is a brown egg layer that meets our specifications; easy to raise, ranges freely and then returns to its covered roost at dusk -sheltered from the resident fox.
We will be ordering the 2010 chicks this May and hopefully they will be laying during the fall and winter.
Our price for a dozen of these healthy eggs is $4.00. And we'll take your cartons to recycle. Most folks come by to pick up a dozen or so every week. See Visit Us for directions.
